A website for the upcoming Ridgecrest Book Fair has been created, with previews of some of the books, as well as information about the dates and times:

If you are interested in volunteering to help with book sales or setting up the Book Fair, there is link on the Book Fair website to indicate your interest. In addition, a flyer will be coming home this week for volunteer sign-ups, so watch for your opportunity to help with the Book Fair.
The annual Open House/Ice Cream Social and Book Fair are coming, Thursday, February 11th. Put the date on the calendar so you can see what is happening in your child’s classroom, share some ice cream with neighbors, and purchase some books for your home or your child’s classroom library. All proceeds from the Book Fair go to the Ridgecrest Library and the purchase of books to benefit all students at Ridgecrest.
Monday, January 18th, is Martin Luther King Jr. Day, so there will be no school.
Conferences will be held the week of January 19th-22nd, so school will be dismissed at 11:10AM on each day. Please be sure you have care for your children for each afternoon.
Don’t forget to turn in your Talent Show forms by Friday, January 15th.

The Shoreline School Board has approved three proposals to be placed on the ballot at a special election February 9, 2010.

Students will be dismissed at 11:10AM on Wednesday, November 25th. Monday, November 30th is a Staff Work Day.
Wednesday, Nov. 11th is a national holiday honoring our veterans, so there will be no school. Please make arrangements for your children if necessary. Our annual Veteran’s Day assembly will be held Tuesday, Nov. 10th at 2:25PM in the auditorium. All veterans are welcome to come and be introduced to our students.
Family Access is a website that is linked to the Shoreline School District’s computer system. The website will show you family and student information such as attendance record, lunch account information, certain test scores, and more. We encourage parents/guardians to make use of this site and check it often, in order to keep up-to-date on the items listed above and to make corrections/changes of your email address(es).
